7 Tips on Wedding Stationery and Signage
May 2026 – by Ramsey B.
Wedding season is just around the corner, and we are here for it! We want to provide brides and grooms with a few tips when it comes to wedding stationery and signs. Whether a wedding is quite quaint or lavishly large, almost anyone getting married will have some stationery to announce and celebrate their big day. Let’s talk about 7 tips we have when it comes to the perfect wedding stationery and signage.
- Keep it Consistent
The number of elements you may have during engagement all the way to after the big day can be staggering: announcement cards, save-the-dates, parties, invitations, programs, menus, table numbers, seating charts, banners, signs, cut outs, thank yous and more. One aspect we find absolutely necessary is being consistent across all platforms or pieces. Consistency can be in colors, fonts, materials, and so much more, so if you want your wedding to seem as though it is flowing from one piece to another, having a consistent layout of stationery as well as the entire wedding itself is very important.
- Make sure it’s easy to read
We all have our favorite elements that we think look really well together whether that be colors or fonts. Sometimes, however, that font that we may think is gorgeous is incredibly difficult for someone twenty years older to read, or even some of your best friends to read. That beautiful ‘A’ no longer looks like an ‘A’ at all, and people are left wondering where your wedding will be held. Colors clash. Often, stationery can become too wordy as we try to fill the invitation with all the necessary information for guests. Simplistic, legible, with cohesive coloring is absolutely a must for stationery and any signs you may have.
- Stick to a few fonts
Fonts were mentioned in the last tip, but sticking to just a few fonts for the entirety of your stationery and signage is a great sticking point. At Dimensional Graphics, our daughter company, unless a couple wants more than just two fonts, we only use two fonts on any save-the-date, invitations, or seating chart. Too many fonts can make the stationery look messy and disjointed. Additionally, we have particular sets of fonts that pair well together to make the stationery flow.
- QR Codes are king… and queen
Too much information on a 5”x7” card can be overwhelming, but we want the information to be provided to all our potential guests. Is it an adult only wedding? Where is a block of rooms already set up for lodging? Enter the QR code: your wedding website, page, or post can explain those details as well as a wedding registry. RSVP? Scan here! Of course, it is still necessary to place a phone number on the card for those who are a bit less tech savvy, but a QR code is going to take care of many of the extra details.
- Be authentic
Are you looking to have just a simple, elegant wedding for 80 guests? Make the stationery match. Are you having a huge, luxurious wedding with over 500 in attendance – go all out with the stationery and signage. It is essential for your wedding design to match the two people most involved in wedded bliss. No one wants to look back on their wedding day and realize that the vibe really didn’t line up with what the bride and groom wanted, so at the end of the day, do what makes you the happiest.
- Be creative
Once upon a time, weddings were all very, very similar. If you were a guest, you knew the basic rundown of the ceremony. That has changed big time! So let your creative side come out. Have a dance floor? You can now make temporary vinyl stickers for the dance floor spelling out your names. Seating chart? Make it a large acrylic sign for all to see. Specific drinks named after the bride and groom? Show those off. From large to small, the number of ways your wedding can be 100% you are endless.
- Enjoy it
Finally, enjoy the day BUT also enjoy the process. No one wants to be so stressed out on their wedding day that they can’t even enjoy it; likewise, no one wants to be stressed out for the six months leading up to the date because of minor details such as choosing fonts, stationery, seating chart and menu designs, etc. Let us help you at Dimensional Graphics. We have multiple graphic designers and stationery sets already designed. We can start with those or something from scratch. We can do all the heavy lifting on stationery, signage, and more when it comes to your wedding, so you can enjoy your day!

PSS, Dimensional Graphics, and Riverbend Signworks: Working Together
April 2026
Whether you are new to the business or have been in business a very long time, it is always important to get your brand name, your brand look, and your brand idea into the hands of local community members. If potential customers or clients don’t know your company yet exists, it’s going to be hard to turn them into actual clients.
One of our newest clients, 360 Painting of the Quad Cities has taken their branding to the next level. They have used all three of our companies to market their business through yard signs, postcards, EDDM mailers, door hangers, stickers and more. They take their branding just as seriously as they take providing fast, reliable painting services to customers.
Let’s discover how we can help market your business, too.
What is Informed Delivery with the USPS and Why Does it Matter?
March 2026
Informed Delivery is a free program created by the United States Post Office which allows those people who have signed up for it access to see their mail before it arrives. Not only can people see the letters or postcards that are coming to their mailbox that day, but they are also able to see status updates for the packages that are coming in (and going out).
It’s incredibly easy to sign up for the program. If you happen to go to the USPS Informed Delivery website, there are multiple areas where you can click to sign up for the free service. The bigger question is why you would want to sign up for such a service. Different customers at the post office have different answers for that. For starters, the USPS has a pretty large client base – over 160 million addresses on record, many of which have multiple adults at said address. These could be apartments, condos, town homes, single-family, and businesses all receiving mail from the post office on almost any given day.
For myself, I like to be able to see what will be hitting our mailbox that day, whether it be a birthday card for our son, a hopeful check in the mail, or a bill. For a friend of mine in Florida working through a cancer diagnosis, it could be easier for her to check her mailbox via the app, only warranting a trip to the mailbox, which is halfway through her condo complex, on days when she is receiving items. Every person who signs up may have a slightly different reason for the sign-up, but you may be surprised to find out that, according to the United States Post Office, over 72 million people have already signed up for the service.
And why not? It’s free. It provides a useful tool for many of Americans who do not check their mail daily. It provides another check for package and mail arrives, especially when something exciting is expected!
Now why is it important for businesses or organizations that are mailing out to know about informed delivery? If you are a client who is mailing out via USPS, you can change up how those people who signed up for informed delivery see your mail piece in their inbox or app. It’s ANOTHER omnichannel touch, and guess what? You aren’t paying ANYTHING extra for that extra digital marketing touch on top of the physical touch of your physical mail piece.
If you decide to elevate your informed delivery look, you can create a representative and ride-along image of your mail piece IN COLOR with a website URL attached, so if someone opens their email containing informed delivery, they can click right away to go to your webpage with the offer, information, or need. This changes your mail piece from just a physical touch to full color digital and physical marketing mail magic.
Two for the price of one – I like that math.
